INVESTMENT RESTRICTIONS

Permissible Investments

The trustee and the investment manager have the responsibility of making decisions regarding the investments of the scheme. In doing so, they are bound by the duties and powers laid down in the law, the investment mandate of the fund and the list of permissible investments prescribed in the regulations.

The list of permissible investments, which includes some qualitative and quantitative limits, was developed in light of the prevailing best practices in the retirement funds industry and in order to reduce some avoidable risks, such as those relating to liquidity, valuation, counter parties and diversification.
